Able Active was designed and built to promote resources that enable everyone to be active, including physical infrastructure, organisational infrastructure and events and activities.

To date, we've integrated many public datasets as a starting point for physical infrastructure in Ireland. Mapping physical infrastructure is still a goal, including trails, facilities and also locations of specialist or enabling equipment.

Working up a level, we now invite community groups, sports clubs and amenity operators to create a presence on the platform, to promote their participation events and to engage with feedback from users.

Working of a win-win-win model, Able Active includes a fully featured website plugin to reflect your data back to your own website, providing another touch-point for visitors to recognise your commitment to inclusivity and accessibility.

Our aim is to provide a framework where organisations of all sizes and specialities can collaborate to benefit all users, and also benefit the organisation. In essence, where the sum of the total is greater than the sum of the parts.
