Introducing Able Active at #InIn24

This event was founded by Envision and sponsored by Bartiméus Fonds as a means to connect with other innovators, policy makers and the community.

This year's event took place on 11th November 2024 in the CIC hub in Rotterdam, featuring 11 new assistive technologies from 5 countries, all aiming to improve independence and access for people with disabilities.

The format was a 5 minute pitch and demo to an audience of over 80, followed by a Q&A. After the pitches, the Networking Tech Fair offered a great opportunity for in-depth conversations on specific aspects of the pitch.

Able Active was introduced as an app to improve information on accessibility, by disability and capturing feedback from users for peer-to-peer ratings and also as a feedback means to the operator.

This was a vibrant and energetic event with good networking, both amongst presenters and also with representatives from local government and support organisations.
