Sharing the story of Able Active

It was a privilege and an honour to stand on stage and share our story at the Sport Ireland Technology and Innovation Summit 2024.

Responding to a call by the European Space Agency - ESA in early 2023, we proposed an app to promote and measure accessibility of trails and amenities, making good use of the space technology we all carry in our pockets - the positioning systems in our phones!

Sarah shared her speaking with our users and communities, helping to ensure that our approach matched user expectations and added value along the way.

We also shared that our journey has become more that sharing existing information, but as much of this information is unavailable [digitally], that we've adapted and include mechanisms for allowing our users to contribute to the benefit of all users.

It was great to speak with many attendees and fellow exhibitors, opening more than one avenue for future collaboration along the way.
